Biography

Alexis Spakoski is a painter, illustrator, and ceramics artist. She lives in Ukiah, California. Alexis worked as a Graphic Designer and Illustrator for The Gap, and later became a freelance artist. She has done illustration for the children’s toy company, Jack Rabbit Creations. As a ceramic artist she is known primarily for her small sculptures featuring dogs and cats on chairs and in vintage cars. Alexis is also an accomplished painter and has painted many murals throughout the San Francisco Bay Area. Her paintings are inspired by nature and by old photographs that she reimagines with color and by adding fun unexpected twists to the image. Her art is inspired by the whimsical side of life, and she aspires to bring smiles to others with her art.
